All Aboard
Accessibility
The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad Museum strives to make our excursions an enjoyable experience for everyone. However, the limitations of our historical railcars and equipment present some challenges. Here are some tips to help you plan your train excursion.

What to Expect
Our historic railcars have been meticulously restored and modified over the years. However, there are limits to the accommodations we can make for our riders. The metal doorways and passages are very narrow, and there are steps and moveable plates between cars. We have restrooms at the depot, but the bathroom on board is port-a-potty style with a 20-inch doorway. If you have mobility challenges, we recommend calling the depot before booking so we can help you plan your trip.
Some tips
Choose Accessible Seats
When choosing your tickets, we recommend calling the depot so our crew can direct you to the most accessible seats for your needs. Depending on our capacity, we may load different cars directly from the platform. Our crew will know which seats you can access most easily.
Measure Your Assistive Device(s)
Railcar passageways are as narrow as 24 inches in some spots. If you cannot walk short distances unassisted and think you might need to access the bathroom while on board, we recommend bringing a mobility aid that is narrower than 24 inches.
Bring a Friend
Please consider bringing along a caregiver or friend to help you board and navigate the train, as our personnel are not trained or permitted to assist.
We have limited handicap-accessible parking at the depot, and an ADA ramp to access the platform. Please arrive 1/2 hour before departure
Ride Seating
99 Business Car Parlor
The 99 Business Railcar was originally built in 1915 and was converted from a standard sleeping car to a business car for the Spokane, Portland and Seattle (SP&S) railroad in 1926. The car is a fully restored executive coach featuring a climate-controlled parlor that once served as a rolling office and lounge for railroad officials. Upholstered armchairs provide seating for six, and a rear observation platform is perfect for taking in the passing scenery. Originally used for high-level meetings and inspections along the rail line, the 99 now offers passengers a nostalgic glimpse into the golden age of train travel.

99 Business Car Dining Room
The 99 Business Railcar is a luxurious vintage coach built for both comfort & prestige. Once reserved for railroad tycoons, it is now the perfect gathering space for groups of 6-8 to experience what it was like to ride the rails in style.
The car was upgraded in 1959 with all the modern amenities of the time and features original interiors, comfortable seating, and climate control. Featuring two sleeper rooms, two private staterooms and a kitchen area.
Chehalis Centralia Railroad & Museum obtained the car and refurbished it in 2017. With its refined atmosphere and historic charm, the SP&S 99 offers a first-class glimpse into the golden era of rail travel.
