Our annual tradition of hosting Pumpkin Trains continues. We invite all spooks, ghouls, monsters, and creatures to join us for a special harvest-themed ride and holiday treat! This fun-filled fall event includes a colorful train ride through the stunning Chehalis River Valley, treats, and a chance for kids to pick their perfect pumpkin. Children up to 15 years old receive treats and a chance to choose their pumpkin from the meadow near our railyard.
Online Reservations are necessary due to the popularity of these trains. There is no heater on board so make sure to dress appropriately for the weather! Parking is free.
Please arrive ½ hour prior to departure.

The mainstay of rides we offer at the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad consist of coach trains and dinner trains. All of our excursions travel an 18-mile round trip along the scenic upper Chehalis Valley, through pastoral farmland. In addition to our regular coach excursions & dinner trains, the railroad hosts a number of special events. From themed dinner trains to holiday events like our annual Easter and Pumpkin Trains, The Polar Express™, Escape Room Train, and Wizard Express, the railroad has many exciting specials to offer. And if you have your own special event you’d like to undertake, the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad offers charters as well! Book a private excursion! The perfect venue for your next event and an excellent opportunity for work retreats, parties and ceremonies. We can accommodate parties of 50-120 people, with add-on options such as dinner service, 2-4 cars, indoor and outdoor seating available. Event packages start at $2500. If you are looking to continue the experience, you may be able to rent the loading platform and rail-yard for your private party.
