The Chehalis-Centralia Railroad has resumed train rides in 2021. Safety precautions and health guidelines are in place for the benefit of both crew members and our passengers.

As we adapt our seating arrangements this year due to COVID19, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. We are following guidelines issued by Washington State. Please be aware that due to the close proximity of our tables, fixed bench seating and limited space, we will not always be able to guarantee 6 ft distancing while you are on the train. We will adhere to the Washington State capacity policy requested at the time of your excursion. We do require masks, unless you are enjoying a meal.  Outside seating and cross ventilation, by opening windows, is available. The indoor cars are unheated. Because we want to ensure your safety, we discourage those who are vulnerable, at risk, or ill,  from riding the train until COVID19 concerns meet your own health issues and expectations.

Please note: The Steam Locomotive #15 repairs are underway. No date has yet been set to return the locomotive to service. Our Diesel Engine #6 will pull the train on summer excursions until such time as our Steam Engine is repaired.

Celebrate Irish Style with our St. Patty's Day Train and our Shamrock Train

All aboard for Irish fun! Join us on St. Patricks Day for a fun and festive celebration.

The St. Patrick’s dinner train leaves the depot at 5:00 pm and travels through the Chehalis River Valley, all the while being served dinner in our dining car. Dress warm as the trains are unheated.

Our Shamrock train leaves on March 14th at 1:00pm and is packed full of family fun including green punch and an Irish themed snack. Be ready for our “Get your Green on” Dress Up Contest! Did you know this American tradition dates back to the 1700’s. St. Patrick’s revelers thought wearing green made one invisible to leprechauns, fairy creatures who would pinch anyone they could see not wearing green. People began pinching those who didn’t wear green as a reminder that leprechauns would sneak up and pinch green-abstainers.

Please arrive 1/2 hour prior to departure. In respect to all passengers, late arrivals may not be accommodated.
